XXX Sere and Sonic were snuggled up at the fire. Sere was asleep while Sonic was thinking. For most of the night, he had been awake, having Sere snuggled into his arms and chest. He was thinking about his friends. They were all against Sere, none of them wanting to give the benefit of the doubt. He had spent the most time with her so, he guessed it made the most sense that he was the only one in Sere's corner. Tails, Amy and Shadow had confronted her much to his dismay. He hated it, but there was nothing he could do. They had their unchanged opinions, but he had his informed ones. XXX While Sonic and Sere were walking, Sere kept shifting her eyes to look at the Werehog. Her mind was running with thoughts and questions. {About a week later, in Spagonia...} Sere always enjoyed her mornings in her apartment. She was sitting in her usual spot, sipping on her black coffee with China eating a bagel next to her. She watched the people go by on Main Street as the sun shined through her living room. "Are we seeing the blue blur again tonight?" {2 weeks later, at Tails' workshop...} Sere's POV Finally. Some R&R. After the first mention of it by Sonic, his team had started putting together the trip to Holoska. Even though some were wary of me, like Shadow and Amy, they still allowed me to come along. Apparently, Sonic had constantly vouched for me, even when Tails tried to go back on having me come. We were all at his workshop, bags in hand. I had a backpack with me, standing off in the corner of the workshop. Sonic and Tails were working to put everyone's bags in the cargo hold of the plane. Shadow and Amy were waiting away from the plane, talking to each other. I just decided it'd be best I kept to myself. Sonic's POV I had no clue what time it was when Sere woke me up. The moon was still up and shining throughout the room, so I was guessing midnight or somewhere around there. Sonic's POV As I suspected, I arrived first at Sere's apartment building. I stopped at the front door, waiting for her arrival. She suddenly dropped from the roof of the building, landing next to me. Sere's POV I was running on all fours when I saw the workshop just over the next hill. Sonic was already a good foot ahead of me, but it wouldn't be that way for long. I was saving up my energy for another rocket blast, but I had to time it just right. Otherwise, I'd lose steam too early and he could beat me. As we went over the hill, I put my hands and feet out, letting myself slide down the hill alongside Sonic's running. He noticed my tactics. "Not too bad!" he said. "But you still can't beat me!" He took off again, leaving me in the dust. As I got to the bottom of the hill, I used my arms to launch myself forward through the air. As I flipped back over, I got a clear shot of Sonic and his friend's workshop. I was over him so, I let myself freefall to him, angling my body to dive. XXX The sunlight glistened through the beige curtains. Sere could feel it on her back as she slept on the couch. Soon, the warmth through the blanket woke the sleeping fox up. She sat up on the couch, stretching her limbs. She looked around to see the floor completely empty. She figured everyone else must've still been asleep. She got up and started folding the blanket she slept with. She placed the blanket on top of the pillow neatly and left it on the couch. Once she gathered herself, she quietly opened the front door and walked outside, closing it behind her. "I think I'll leave them be for now, especially after that whole fiasco from last night," she thought. She looked down at her bracelet, China soon appearing from it. Sonic's POV What was that all about? The one time I'm actually happy and Tails wants to make me feel bad about it! I would've expected Shadow to do that to me, not him! What is going on with everyone? Can't I just be happy for a couple of minutes and nobody gets on me?! I took a deep breath as I stood on the step to the front door. Sere's POV The sharp ringing of my alarm clock startled me from my sleep. I reached from under my covers to turn it off. I sighed as I sat up in bed. I didn't like getting up early in the morning, but I had to this time if I was going to keep my "date" with the blue blur. I dragged my body out of bed to get ready. Once I got myself together in the bathroom, I walked in my PJs to the kitchen. I made myself what I always had in the morning: a bagel and coffee. I opened the window looking out onto Main Street. I sat on the window sill as I ate my bagel. I could see the florist opening her shop and the baker opening his. I took a sip of my coffee, enjoying the sun against my skin. After I finished, I threw my clothes on, picking out my favorite t-shirt. It was of a heart with angel wings and a single rose sitting on top of it against a black background. I had blue pants on along with grey flats. I grabbed my keys and started to walk out of my apartment, but I soon realized I was missing
